It’s cleansing time

So, I’m doing another one of these detox/cleaning routines…this time for 12 days starting on Monday. Should be interesting.

I kicked the caffeine habit earlier this week, which was a surprise because I didn’t realize that I had re-addicted myself to it over the past month or so. I was pretty good through the summer at limiting my intake, but man, earlier this week I had the worst withdrawal headache. So now I’m drinking President’s Choice chai green tea, and it’s not too bad. Could use some sugar, but I might as well get used to it the way it is.



  1. Hmmm… As far as I know, the averge cup of black tea has about 1/2 the amount of caffeine compared to coffee – and green tea has 1/2 the amount compared to black tea. White tea is the lowest you get before going herbal!

    There’s a very nice Tetley Early Grey Green tea that I’m addicted to – all it needs is a dash of milk! : )

  2. Tea’s caffeine content also largely depends on how long you steep it.

    I drink peppermint tea in the morning — it has a strong, spicy flavour, and no caffeine.
