Okay, so the Vancouver Plan is still in full effect, but there’s been a slight modification based on recent events. Nothing big, though…I just have to change the decision date. Oh yeah, and it’s now something of a moving target.
If I decide to stay in KW, then I’m going to take the part-time MBA program at Wilfid Laurier University next year. The deadline for applications is May 1st, and I expect I’ll hear back from WLU sometime that month. If so, the decision date for the Plan becomes the enrollment deadline for WLU. I expect that will be before June 21st, which is my original target.
Why an MBA? I’ve thought about it for a few years, but didn’t feel like I was ready. Now I’m at the point where I’ll need MBA training in order to advance my career. That is to say, I feel like I need it if I stay in KW. If I go to Vancouver then I’m starting over completely, so there’s no telling what I’ll end up doing.
So where does this leave the Plan? Right where it’s always been. At the moment I feel like I’ll probably stay in KW. Next week I might feel like I’m going to move. I’ve got a whole year of flip-flopping ahead of me, and I suspect it’s going to get boring for you to read about. But you keep coming back, so you’ve only yourself to blame.
Don’t worry…they won’t all be like this.
