I have 20 pairs of pants

Seriously…that’s a lot of pants. And many of them are black.

Wow, 20 pairs…I really had no idea. See, what happens is that whenever I go to the mall, I’ll wander into clothing stores that I know fit me well, just to see what’s on the sale racks. It used to be that I had trouble finding pants that fit, so whenever I came across a decent pair I always bought them. The thing is, it’s easier for me to find pants nowadays, but I still have the “rare find” mentality whenever I come across pants on sale.

Compounding the problem is the fact that I tend to be pretty forgiving to my pants, so they last a long time. And as I buy more pants, they circulate less often and are thus afflicted with even less wear and tear.

And now I have 20 pairs of pants. Plus three pairs of track/tearaway pants. And two pairs of pajama pants. And don’t even get me started on shorts, which I don’t often get to wear since my office doesn’t have a summer dress code (boo).

I also have a lot of shirts, and I really should donate some of them to Goodwill.

While I’m at it, I should get something better than an old bookshelf to use as a clothes organizer. Maybe I’ll do that this weekend.

Of course, this leads me asking one question. With so many pairs of pants, how is it that I have so much trouble matching with my shirts? Colourblindness aside, you’d think it would be easy with this many options.
