…that I think I’m busier now than I was a week ago.
First off, The Big 1-5-0 went very well. I would have liked a larger audience, but the musicians were all really pleased and that’s more than enough for me. Hopefully we can ride this into doing more youth-oriented performance in Waterloo.
With my City of Waterloo work out of the way, life is supposed to get easier. However, this is not the case.
I have rehearsals for Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge tonight and on Thursday, followed by tech weekend, dress rehearsals, and six shows. Tomorrow, I have vet appointment for Chet, a Canstruction meeting, and another meeting that it’s too early to talk about.
On Wednesday we have an office potluck, which means that I’ll need to bake on Tuesday night, and then I have a group dinner that I organized awhile back when this week looked not-so-busy.
On Thursday, in addition to the aforementioned rehearsal, we’re having a company-wide meeting that I have to help out with, and then there’s an MBA info session at WLU that I’d like to attend but probably shouldn’t. There’s another one in December, so it’s no big loss…but I’d like to figure out what I don’t know about the application process sooner rather than later.
On Friday, I’m heading for Toronto after work to see a play that my sister is stage-managing. Also a bad idea from a use-of-time standpoint, but family comes first.
Somewhere in here I have to contact the various Waterloo schools for various reasons related to the Schools Challenge.
And somewhere in here, I have to sleep, while also writing car articles, and while also accomplishing my office work.
Keep in mind that the majority of these activities are fun…there’s very little stress involved. What I have to be careful about is that the fun doesn’t impede the productivity. Then the fun stuff becomes almost as stressful, and far less fun.
In theory, everything gets a little easier in December. But I’m pretty sure I’ve said that before.
Suffice to say that I’m not going to waste my time between now and the day I potentially leave Waterloo. So if you want some of that time, you might want to book it instead of waiting for me to come to you.
