Three words and a hyphen

Funny how three words and a hyphen can elicit such an outcry, but such is the case these days, when those three words and a hyphen can reach more people than ever.

Admittedly, I haven’t paid much attention to the issue, and I’ve read only a handful of articles. In my travels, I’ve come across three articles written by people who really seem to understand the issue at hand. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that all three writers are black.

Shaun Powell: “Imus is not the real culprit in this shameful incident”

Jemele Hill: “Take a stand against indecency and cruelty”

LZ Granderson: “Hate is hate, no matter the target”

And here’s a bonus from the well-spoken Ms. Hill on a an unrelated-but-related issue:

I have nothing to add.
