I got rhythm, I got music.
I’ve got my cats, who could ask for anything more?
Yeah yeah, that’s not how the song goes, but “I Got Rhythm” is one of my favourites, and I’m in the mood to quote it. Don’t have a girl right now, so I had to substitute. You can really slide any one-syllable word in there: cats, friends, health, etc.. It’s all good.
It’s been a great weekend. If you missed Friday’s Battle of the Bards, then you missed a really great show. We had a ton of people and some wonderful performances.
Saturday evening was equally good, as a bunch of us went to a ceili and danced until our feet hurt. Always fun…well, except the occasions where the venue is too small and it’s way too crowded. You gotta have room to move.
Add in that I’ve been very productive, and it’s been a good weekend. Now all that’s left to do is my taxes…and hey, I might even work on them tonight. Or maybe I’ll just go play my saxophone for awhile. And maybe clean the house. Cook dinner. Uhh…organize my sock drawer.
Ha ha.
My cold is almost gone…I don’t remember the last time I had one last this long, and it’ll be a great relief when I’m back to 100%. All that’s left now is a bit of a cough…no big deal.
Like I said. I got rhythm, I got music, I got my cats, friends, and health. I’ve got a place to call home and job to pay the bills.
Who could ask for anything more?
I want to know how the real song goes please!
